The new Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary celebrates one of the most successful riders of all time and the symbol of an entire community: Troy Bayliss. A special motorcycle, manufactured in a numbered series, the pure expression of Ducati sportsmanship and a tribute to a timeless passion.
Based on the Panigale V2, this version is made unique by the special livery, inspired by the 996 R on which Bayliss won his very first world championship title in 2001, and by the prestigious Öhlins components, that bring the track performance of the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary to a whole new level.
The Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is powered by the 955 cm³ twin cylinder Superquadro engine. It delivers a maximum power of 155 hp at 10,750 rpm and maximum torque of 76.7 lb-ft at 9,000 rpm to guarantee full scale Ducati emotions and performance. Compared to the Panigale V2, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is more than 6.5 lbs lighter, thanks to the use of a lithium-ion battery and the choice to adopt a single-seater configuration that explicitly recalls the look of the renowned racing bike.
The Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is characterized by its special celebration livery, inspired by the 996 R bike that accompanied Bayliss during his conquest of his first world title in 2001. Ducati red is the main coloor of the bike, and it joins green and white in a tribute to the Italian spirit of the Bologna-based motorcycle manufacturer, while the iconic #21, Troy Bayliss' race number, and the Shell logo, which visually strengthen the link with the racing bike, stand out on the sides and front. Troy's autograph is reproduced on the fuel tank, while the billet aluminum triple clamp shows the name of the bike and the progressive numbering of this unique model.
The track spirit of the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary bike is also expressed in the prestigious Öhlins components: the fork, steering damper and rear shock absorber allow a much higher performance on the track, in addition to giving the bike an even more sporty look. Compared to the Panigale V2, the Panigale V2 Bayliss 1st Championship 20th Anniversary is more than 6.5 lbs lighter, thanks to the use of a lithium-ion battery and the choice to adopt a single-seater configuration that explicitly recalls the track alignment of the bike used in the racing season (passenger seat and foot pegs are available by request).

When it comes to buying a motorcycle, there are many options available and it can be tough knowing where to start your search. Here at BMW Motorcycles of Jacksonville, we strive to make your buying process easier! We’ve gathered up the following shopping tips for you and you can always visit our dealership in Orange Park, Florida, for personalized advice.
Look into different types of bikes and find out what type best suits your needs. Do you want a touring bike for comfortable long-distance rides? Would you prefer a fast sport bike for racing?
Make sure to also think about the features that matter most to you, such as weight and power. A heavier motorcycle will be more stable, for example, while a lighter one will be more agile.
You can also look up reviews online or talk to friends who own motorcycles to get their take on specific models.
Whether you’re in the market for your first bike or looking to upgrade from your starter model, choosing the right motorcycle dealer is an important part of the process. The best way to go about finding a reliable and trustworthy dealer is by doing your research.
Start by searching online for local motorcycle dealerships that specialize in the type of bike you’re interested in. Get recommendations from friends and family who have recently purchased a bike, as well as read reviews online to get a better idea of what others think about the dealership.
It’s important to consider your budget before making any purchases. Will you be able to pay for the bike in full or will you need financing? Do the prices of helmets, jackets, and other gear fit into your budget? It helps to know how much you can reasonably afford, which helps you avoid overspending or unnecessarily passing on features that fit within your budget.
Visiting us at BMW Motorcycles of Jacksonville is a great way to make an informed motorcycle purchase! Our team of professionals is here to answer all your questions and help guide you toward the bike that’s perfect for your riding needs and budget. Reach out or visit us in Orange Park, Florida. Choosing to buy a used motorcycle can save you money but also give you peace of mind. Many of our bikes have the same features as the newer models but are only a couple years old, so rest assured knowing that you are getting top-of-the-line features in your used bike. You might even get lucky and find a quality used motorcycle from this year, with little miles on it! And with our expert mechanics being only a phone call away, you can trust that your used motorcycle will be working perfectly for years to come. Our service department is proud to have the highest customer satisfaction score around, and they are all motorcycle enthusiasts too, who will treat your bike with the same care they would their own.
Used motorcycles offer advantages to new riders that they simply can’t get from a newer bike. If you’ve been riding for a while, you can think back to the days when you were fresh to the world of motorcycling. There are inevitably going to be incidents where small dings, dents, or scratches appear. Perhaps it’s unseen gravel, a misjudged parking job, or some wet leaves. These things happen — even to experienced riders! Whatever the incident may be, it is much less painful for something to happen to a used bike than the newest model.
Additionally, new riders might not know exactly what type of bike is best for their riding style or the terrain they plan on riding over. It could be that the sleek and stylish appearance of a cruiser draws them to the lifestyle, but they quickly discover that something built for long-distance would be better for their commute. Used motorcycles take less time to pay off, and riders can quickly find another used bike that is a better fit.
Buying a motorcycle can be really exciting but you’ll want to make sure that the bike fits your body as well as your wallet. When you see a used bike that you like, make sure that you sit on it and get a feel for the controls and pegs before you test ride. You want to make sure that your body is comfortable on the seat and you can reach the handlebars. How is the riding position? On some motorcycles, you’ll be positioned forward in more of a racing stance, while some bikes will have you in a more leaned-back and relaxed riding position. Your feet should rest flat on the ground while still on the bike, giving you the ability to remain planted should there be a surprise gust of wind while at a stoplight. When you’re ready to take it out for a spin, make sure the bike has the feel that you want. Do your legs curl under you too much, or are your arms locked uncomfortably? You want to feel like you are “one” with the bike, in a symbiotic partnership, united against the unforgiving elements and the harsh asphalt. Also if this is your first bike, visit our parts department to make sure you get a helmet, gloves, boots, eye protection, and any other protective gear you need to keep yourself safe on the road.
